Itinerary
DAY 1-ARRIVAL ENDE – MONIUpon arrival at Ende Airport, our local guide will welcome and then followed by transfer to Moni for your accommodation. DAY 2-MONI – KELIMUTU – BAJAWAEarly morning wake up call for departure to the Kelimutu volcano. A short walk (30 minutes) will take you to the lookout point to wait for the sunrise. Kelimutu means Mountain of the Spirits. Known for its famous 3 colour lakes: Turquoise, Brown and Black. It's dissolved minerals that give the different colours. Breakfast after return to the hotel. Continue through beautiful landscape via Ende to Bajawa with stops at Soekarno’s House in Ende, at the green stone beach PenggaJawa, beautiful views of the Ebulobo volcano and before Bajawa a stop at traditional village Wogo. DAY 3-BAJAWA – RUTENGIn the morning a visit to the traditional village of Bena. Besides still intact, with the megalith stones besides the old houses, this village has beautiful location with views of Mount Inerie.. In the afternoon depart for Ruteng. On the way visit Lake Rana Mese and Ruteng Puu. Overnight in Ruteng. DAY 4-RUTENG – LABUAN BAJOAfter breakfast, check out and the drives to Labuan Bajo. En route visit Cancar where a 20-minute hike to the hilltop is required for an overview of the unique lingko spider web rice fields. With their round, spider-web structure, these unique rice-fields are particular to the Manggarai people: the central point is used for ceremonies celebrating the unity of the male and female and heaven and earth. Arrive in Labuan Bajo in the afternoon. DAY 5-KOMODO TOUREarly morning wakes up call. Breakfast at hotel transfer to the harbor. At 5.00 am depart for Komodo Island. This trip over blue tropical waters and past hundreds of small Islands will take approximately 4 hours. On our visit to Komodo Island we make a walk (1 hour) with a local ranger in search of the Komodo dragons. During your visit also wild buffalo, deer, pigs and various species of tropical birds like the Cockatoo can be seen. At Pink Beach lunch and time to discover the splendid underwater world of these rich waters (snorkels and fins are provided). Onwards to Rinca. Led by a local ranger 1-hour soft trekking through forest and savanna. Komodo Dragons are often spotted on the way. From the highest point on this hike a beautiful panorama of the surrounding island. Return to Labuan Bajo for your accommodation. DAY 6-LABUAN BAJO – NEXT DESTINATIONBreakfast at hotel. At Leisure until transfer you to the Airport for next destination.
